We are looking for a hands-on Site Engineer with experience in managing different aspects of a construction project, including schedule & resource planning, cost maximization, project documentation, HSEQ compliance and vendor management; and who holds a passion for working outdoors.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Valid Supervise Construction Work for WSH certificate
- 0-5 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in construction industry will be an advantage
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Ms Project, AutoCAD
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills based on analytical thinking, knowing the details and thinking end-to-end
- Able to have prompt, open and direct communications with site personnel to achieve project expectations including safety and quality standards
- Accountable, committed, proactive with initiative and sense of urgency and willing to get "hands dirty" to resolve issues
- Has a keen sense of cost consciousness to maximise value for the company
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with client on the work schedule, planning and activities
- Plan detailed instructions) with updated engineering drawings) on daily project activities, and monitor progress to ensure activities are executed as per project specifications
- Assist in project cost control in line with the project budget (eg ensuring value-based procurement practices, optimum machine utilisation and usage of spares and scrap process compliance)
- Ensure good QA/QC at the project
- Responsible to understand the geotechnical aspects of the project eg soil condition, CPT, etc., to ensure all project documentation (progress reports, progress claims, daily reports, site diary, QA/QC report, etc) are submitted and to follow up to ensure collection of approved documents in a timely manner
- Assist to submit accurate Project Finance Reports and work related reports (eg Work Progress, MS, MA, SWP, Equipment reports, weekly reports, monthly provision, site cash, etc) in a timely fashion
- Responsible to ensure HSEQ compliance in execution of projects
- Responsible to implement global HSEQ programs and initiatives
- Responsible to coordinate with vendors and subcontracts in matters of project delivery
- Must be willing to work in construction sites/ outdoors environment and be exposed to different weather conditions.
Work hours: 8.30 - 17.30 (Mon-Fri), 8.30 - 12.30 (Sat)
Work schedule: 5.5 Days (Monday to Friday & Alternate Saturdays)
