Mechanical Superintendent

We are looking for a Mechanical Superintendent to join our team in Singapore.


Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent OR
  • More than 15 years of relevant experience in construction, plant or equipment operations
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues swiftly.
  • Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance, repair, and fleet operations.
  • Familiarity with maintenance systems preventive, corrective, predictive.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with various departments.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with HSEQ guidelines and Keller policies and procedures.
  • Identify and document operational or plant issues; develop and submit action plans.
  • Lead root cause analysis and follow-up actions (i.e. maintenance programs, long-term improvement or renewal plans) to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Consult with mechanics for high-cost repairs and explore cost-effective alternatives.
  • Advise on repair strategies and support in service and technical queries related to root cause and outcome reviews.
  • Review and verify that all major repairs are completed correctly.
  • Estimate costs, timelines, and requirements for major repairs, modifications, and innovation projects.
  • Lead fleet innovation and/or continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend cost saving initiatives or supplier options based on operational feedback.
  • Provide insights on available parts and service options, including modification strategies and multi-product action plans.
  • Review and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Act as the frontline guide for the Yard team, supporting all technical and operational concerns.
  • Deliver plant-related training and mentoring to upskill team members.
  • Involve in special projects as assigned by Line Manager.

 

Working hours: 08.30 - 17.30 (Mon-Fri) 8.30 to 12.30 (Alternate Saturdays)

Work schedule: 5.5 Days (Monday to Friday, Alternate Saturdays)
